40 secondi
40 secondi is the title of a film which talks about the real story of Willy, a guy killed on the 6th of september in 2020 while he was trying to defend one of his friends who involved in a fight. Willy was a twenty-one years old guy, dreaming of becoming a chef and was killed just the day he was hired in a restaurant, just because he tried to help his friend.
Willy died in forty seconds after two brothers, Gabriele and Marco Bianchi, punched and kicked him.
This film was presented in the 20th Rome Film Festival where it won the special award for the best cast. This movie was received very positively by critics and audiences, who appreciated the theme, the directorial approach and the acting ability.
Personally, I really liked the movie for talking about such an important theme and also for photography and music. In my opinion, the supervisor and the editor respected perfectly
the musical tastes of the young protagonists.
The vision of this film shows Willy's life including difficulties and dreams and it also illustrates the lives of people involved, exploring their backgrounds, family problems and the normalization of violence. This film doesn't provide explanations; it just stimulates deep thought.
Films can represent a way to ensure that violence do not go unpunished and pain is not left in vain. The film can bring light to events
that should never happen again
