INTERVIEW TO TEACHER MRS BARBARA METRANGOLO
I interviewed my teacher, Mrs Barbara Metrangolo, about her trip to Ireland for the "Erasmus Plus" Project.
Erasmus+ (KA122-VET) is part of the I-L.E.A.R.N. project which promotes training, professional development and European cooperation to innovate educational offerings and internationalize schools.
She teaches English to classes 1D, 1F, 1C, 1B, 2B, and 2E.
Here is the interview and her official answers:
- How was your trip?
"It was very interesting, I could visit Galway, a delightful small city on the Atlantic Ocean with its coloured houses. Soft and delicate colours create a special atmosphere near the Ocean."
- What were the students like?
"They were very organized and full of energy. They were really interested in their work experiences where they could learn by doing. The students could improve their English talking with customers and English colleagues, too."
- What time did you take the plane?
"Firstly, I took the plane at a quarter to eleven a.m. and landed in Dublin two hours and fifty minutes later. Secondly, I had to catch the bus for Galway station. From the station I arrived at the hotel by taxi in five minutes. It was a long and exciting trip."
- What did you visit in Galway?
"I visited the Galway Museum and I could understand much more about the Irish history. I also could have a fantastic walk near the Ocean in South Park. I visited the spectacular cliffs of Moher where I could admire wonderful landscapes and take some special photos. Lastly, I went to the Galway University where I followed a lot of interesting lessons."
- What about Irish people?
"Irish people are very friendly and nice, what's more they are happy to help you, for example if you are in line at the supermarket there is always an old lady who asks you to go ahead because you have just a few things to pay, they are very polite."
- What was the weather like?
"The weather was cold and rainy and I always wore my rain coat, the sky was grey but when the sun appeared Galway became wonderful."
Then I asked our teacher some personal questions:
- Why did you choose to became a teacher?
"I decided to become a teacher because I like interacting with my students and it is a pleasure to share my knowledge and competence with them."
- What do you think about our class (1D)?
"I have a good opinion of the 1D, I feel that you are all very good people I just suggest you to study a bit more to improve your abilities, this is very important for your future. You are nice, funny and intelligent and I'm proud because I am your teacher."
